IM1 Lab Week 11

So we kinda have to rethink or re-frame our proposition again. Seth told us to be wary of the legal ramifications of doing such videos might lead to us, him, the course and the school. Not to mention for our future employability. We have to make a pitch to Adrian to whether our idea is deemed okay to continue with.

Seth adviced us to maybe change the title or the context of our proposition. Instead of “Life is a Crime”, he suggested something in the likes of “Life is anti-establishment or anti social”

Film TV 1 Week 1 Tute

Tuesday, March 6th, 2012

First First TV1 tute for the semester. Robin just basically states that this course is about thinking up of films and making them! Collaboratively nonetheless.

Sounds rather simple but I think this course will be quite challenging. This is totally a new territory for me. I’ve never actually filmed anything with a form in my life and this is like jumping off a cliff and into the sea. In addition I’ve never actually kept a blog; apart from a photo blog. But I’ve never had the habit of writing consistently in any form of journal or blog. So blogging would be a challenging part for me as well.

We are told that our blogs are meant for reflections of what we’ve learned in the course and whatever pertains to film making in the loosest form. Not only talk about what, but also why. I’ll try to reflect as much as possible.  In addition to that, maybe I’ll use this blog as a collection of useful notes that I picked up from lectures and tutes.

Outer experiences will help articulate in making actual films. For example my interest in photography might actual come in handy in being a DOP. So I’ll try to branch out and experience the world as much as I can and hopefully these experiences could make me a better filmmaker.
