Woke up on sunday morning and decided to drive to geelong to catch the world champs cycling. It was such a beautiful day that I couldn’t miss it. Oh, and my girlfriend was working there.
Almost as soon as I got there, my girlfriend was able to escort me right to the finish line where the race was just ending (it was won by Thor Hushovd of Norway).
Once the cyclists had finished, dozens of camera men rushed up and started filming them. The cameramen from all over the world- Europe, Japan, America just sat there filming. It made me think about what they were filming metres away from me was getting shown in real time all over the world. The power of the Internet still astonishes me.
