‘Make a 30 second film about how it feels for you to be ‘outside’, how it feels for you to be ‘inside’ and how it feels for you to be ‘between’

Last weeks topics were interesting, they left of space for us to work in, and introduced a myriad of ideas and interpretations for us to play with. Unfortunately, I think I produced pretty stock standard work, even though I think I stuck to my original goal of trying to make three distinctly different videos.

I think Inside is my favourite, simply because it takes an idea that i’m constantly engaging with and I like the way it demands attention of the viewer. I think the sound is definitely the best thing about the video and gives it the hard hitting effect.

Outside gets an honourable mention because I had fun making it and aesthetically I think it’s nice in terms of shot selection and colour. In-between is pretty crap, I was trying to engage with the ideas of the course but I think it turned out as a kind of obviously last ditch attempt to be a bit different. I think I could have used the idea in a more subtle way but I’m glad i learnt how to put titles into FCP.
