5 Key Points Regarding My Participation in ‘Integrated Media’
1. Producing Videos/Photos
Producing video and photo content is something that i find enjoyable. Although some of it may often be challenging, it is a challenge that i like to take on and could easily spend hours working on. In saying that, i also enjoy taking quick and simple videos and photos of everything and anything i may come across day to day. I am looking forward to producing the 30 second sketch videos each week, and i aim to regularly blog my process in doing so as a form of course participation.
2. Unpack Stuff/Ideas
I have always found brainstorming, mind mapping, and conversation a very effective and relatively easy way of getting out all my creative thoughts and ideas. As well as working through creative ideas, conversation in particular has always been a useful way in which i can get my head around concepts which don’t fully make sense yet. In saying this, i look forward to chatting about topics discussed in class and lectures with other students this year in attempt to fully get a grasp on what we are learning.
Since the get go, essay writing has always been a challenge. This form of participation will really push me. I aim to track down and study essays in relation to topics being discussed in class, this way i will familiarise myself with the structure of essays and how they are best written, as well as gaining more of an understanding of what we are studying at the time. It will also pay off as a form of research, which leads me nicely into my next key point…
Research is effective in every way, we are so privileged to have such efficient research utilities readily available at any time, and i simply want to conduct more of it! I know it’s good, i just need to do it. I feel it would be a challenge for me to sit down and do thorough research on a regular basis, but it is something i want to do in order to better my learning come course lectures and tutorials.
5. Blog Often & With Relevance
I am relatively new to the whole blogging thing. This blog you are reading right now has only just been set up, and yes, it may be looking a little bare compared to others at the moment, but that is something i want to work on, starting from NOW! Blogging is another form of course participation that i am going to really work on. From now on you can expect to see more updates, more posts regarding topics discussed in class, more of my ideas, more links to more things that i just find interesting!
