Due to our shooting day is later than other groups, so we did not represent the whole story at the last tute

Our rough cut is made by Sissi, though her work, the story structure has been simply displayed. Rachel and i are just follow what she has done further revise some cut problems then add sound effect and subtitles.we know that sound effect should match with the scenes but we actually met a little bit trouble here. however, we try to fix all the scenes in order to ensure everything seems smooth.
In terms of sound effects i think our selected music are outstanding to represent the scene atmosphere that we want. because there are two main music but completely different styles. one is strange(when donna walking into the dark), another is more humor(when donna saw the party scene). using music to display character’s different moods is our important point.
It is true that we met some cuts trouble. a few of the cuts are a bit scrappy probably due to we were lake some of shot angles so that we have no more choice when we edit.but everything is fine, we try to fix the problems by final cut skills and the hard work here seems well prove effective.
Different opinions exist in terms of the way to represent subtitles and some other specially effects that would be used. but i know it can facilitate the quality of our film project so we are still discussing these things in order to make an agreement. we could meet at uni before hand in then we can do the further and final adjustment together.

though we already did the postproduction in terms of different scenes, sound,subtitles for beginning and ending. however, this is not the eventually film project that we are going to hand in.

Woman’s shoes

I think this is a excellent example of long take practice that record a very interesting story, at the same time, it represents a purpose which is meaningful for woman’s life.
i love the creation here due to they use different shoes represent the different stages of woman’s life.furthermore, each shoes have a typical storytelling which make viewers easily understand what kind of stages here. The main model of this short film is woman’s legs and feet (feet is with different shoes in different stages). of cause the actress’s body looks beautiful but most important is that she plays the role vivid and lively. moreover, the background music here are really helpful to display different stages.obviously,the effect is amazing.

Yesterday, our group help out with another group to shot their film project. though we just assist a sort of their work but we actually participant the whole shooting process that give me a real experience (i mean not just like lenny exercise) of filming. i think i’ve got some of useful skills and tips which can help us in next week.
Firstly, preparation(film setting) is very serious and important. we have to ensure all the equipments and stuff can do their normal work. furthermore, something like make- up, catering, pops must in their our track. ( because i saw a very precise and well-organized scene when i arrived their shooting place, which make me realized these above things are not as simple as just a image in my mind.). it notice us to do the well-preparation in our shooting day.
Secondly, group work need balance and harmonious atmosphere. everyone play roles. particularly, nice cooperation between director and cameraman seems significant due to they have to come to an agreement during the shooting process. different shots probably have different filming way so that the better communication between this two people ensure the smooth work in a certain extent.( actually i saw a professional and good discussion between director and cameraman in their group. furthermore, their shots are very detail, one scene or just one movement they like to shot again in different angles, i know it is useful for the post production.)
In terms of shooting schedule, they have a very detailed shot plan that is helpful. compared with ours, i think ours seems a little bit rough and we probably need to add more and revise more due to good schedule would increase the efficiency and let us clear what is going on, of cause it can save more time.
Another thing that i am really admired the actor/ actress they found due to they have a very professional performance, especially the main character leave me a deep impression.
However, after work with supergroup, i feel a little bit nervous of doing our film, at the same time, i realized we should work harder.
and obviously, this experience teach me a lot, especially, how to treat film work in a positive and correct attitude because it can lead everything goes better.

As a producer, What i am input into our production portfolio are include Safety Report, Catering, Shot Schedule as well as Location notes.
because there are some samples offered on the film blog so that i can clearly understand how to write the sections of safety issues and shot schedule. furthermore, in terms of the Catering and Location notes, these are probably seems a little bit rough cause in the beginning of this film project, some of items we were not pretty ensure and some of the details we were still thinking and discussing in that time.
Safety report: which i think of some estimated issues that were happened in shot place. give them rating and solutions. my thinking here might not comprehensive enough but i just list the common problems as much as possible.
Shot Schedule: i follow our script to manage the different scenes in different time, i realized that the important point is to ensure the reasonable time combine to fair work. ( like our Party scene is actually arranged to shoot in the morning) good time management can enhance the shooting efficiency.
Location and Catering: i just write down the address of shooting places and we probably will get the relative council permission later.
in terms of Catering, i just make a rough appropriation budget which include lunch/ supper expense, make up, clothes as well as Party setting fee.
overall, i think i just obey the basic steps to finish the producers part. my vision here might be still seems limited and it would be better if some sections can be more particular and integrated.

in terms of our lenny 2, i think is not that successful. even our selected shot scene is good and the light here is suitable for film. but it seems like we just finished such a common practice. we lack of camera moving, different angles, background sound is quite noisy… all the things can be modify in next time.
And i really like stella’s group work. it seems very professional. they make a whole exercise like a real storytelling,for example,when they shot character moving, they use very smoothly medium close-up as well as variable focal length to make different vision. i also like the strongly background music they put into their film, which changed the shots into continuous story.
however, from this experience, i realized attitude is very important, i mean with highly concentrated attention to finish work. good work not just relate to basic sense and professional skills,but also need to exhaust group’s brain and energy, furthermore creation is necessary.

Everything i’ve got from lenny can lead our film goes better.

we’ve learned about the details of film pre-production in today’s lecture which makes me understand a basic structure of film operation and also realise some responsibilities that producer should take.
however, already get some clues of how to make a production portfolio.

Today’s lecture actually focus on shot construction which give me a overview of how the camera works in a real shooting scene. lecturer analysis a film work in terms of the camera moving which makes me realized the importance and difficult of using camera, because i was thought that different shot can gather only due to the post production ( like use editing skills).
The point i really want to express is that camera has its valuable knowledge which help me get understanding of a film in such a professional perspective.
i also learned some basic ways of correct shooting. which i think will be helpful to our following group work.
