Screening Night

Finally, our works can be shown on a big screen. After 12 weeks of Film/TV1 course, all of us can sit back and watch our videos in the lecture room. All of the videos is interesting. I am going to write some reflection on some movie I like (and also the movies I still remember).

Movie Addicts Anonymous
In fact I don’t really get what this short film talking about(just because of my poor English). But it really create a good slapstick’s ending. All the crew members suddenly crash into the movie and celebrate for something. And finally the narrator comes up and finished the movie. This process bring us from a movie, out of the movie and then back into it. This is quite outstanding among of all the shorts film.

Hard Light of Day
This movie is really my cup of tea. Since most of the films in the screening are “just” a comedy movie. I am not saying comedy movie is not good, I like comedy too. But not the comedy we laugh and end up with nothing. Yeah, Fun! Then?
I like Hard Light of Day for some reason:
1. Editing: the color grading really suit for the short film since it is not a realistic story.
2. Thinking: This is the point I want to say. Let’s the audience think about your movie. What the characters actually are? Why they are there? That’s what the cinema gave us.

Press one
Another short film really makes I really like. First I can see how much the production crew contribute in the whole production. Location, editing, script writing. And the short film successfully attracting me to follow the story. Press one, then press two. Back to the real world? That was just a dream? But then we can see the character was bleeding. At the end the chief picks up the mobile….”Press Three”.
