After 3 weeks’ preparation, we started our film project eventually. It is the time to connect personlal ideas together. In fact, all of us do not have too many ideas and specific plans, at least we made up our work groups, which we have to stay in here for this semester.We are going to decide which story we should choose, it is a tricky question. We have to think about all elements, like whether this story is good for producing or it is possible to find actors, we have to give up some dramatic ideas to meet the needs of reality. On the other hand, in comparison with Broadcast Media in last semester, i think Film 1 is more professional. It encourges myself, even i can imagine i will become an “expert” in this area..lol.
Some important notes for myself: know each role’s responsibility is the vital step at the begining.
Sound:location sound recorded, mix, track,music (im the sound person in this production, it is neccessary to review some knowledge of this part)
Producer: production manager,A film producer oversees and delivers a film project to all relevant parties while preserving the integrity, voice and vision of the film. They will also often take on some financial risk by using their own money, especially during the pre-production period, before a film is fully financed.The producer is often actively involved throughout all major phases of the filmmaking process, from inception and development through to completion and delivery of a film project.However, an idea or concept for a film can originate with any creative individual, including a screenwriter, a director or a producer.
Director: leader, host. Film directors are responsible for deciding camera angles, lens effects and lighting with the help of the cinematographer, and set design with the production designer. They will often take part in hiring key crew members. They coordinate the actors’ moves, or blocking, and also may be involved in the writing, financing, and editing of a film.
Cinemantgrapher: director for graphy, is the making of lighting and camera choices when recording photographic images for the cinema.
Production Designer: have one of the key creative roles in the creation of motion pictures and television. Working directly with the director and producer, they must select the settings and style to visually tell the story.
