Final Participation week 11 Mark : 14 D

This is the final participation…. When I look back to the past (week1,week 4, week 8) , I just found there are a lot of things that I expected to learn , I already done most of them. That is a happy ending I guess. The process in not how you skillful , the main point is how much you have learned from this course. I think I have learned a lot ^_^.

What have I done well ?

Well. I guess that is I pay much attention to the network environment, and do the a lot of researches on my surroundings. And I also put the images ,videos and articles that I found interesting to my blog, in which way I developed my interests on my blogging works, and make blog interesting and attractive. And also I spent a lot of time in the lab to do the

What have I learnt to do better ?

I am becoming more familiar to the html learning and writing my blogs. And I realize the importance of the tutorials.Now , I attend every tutorials,trying to not miss one class. And get involved in the group discussions, giving  out my opinions and suggestions.  And I got the confidence when I am doing the network media works.

What could I have done better ?

I think I need to write more blogs , to make up the past works that I did not have much time to finish. The dossier reading is also my weakness which has not been solved yet.  And I need to do a better time management, how to work more efficiently. Try to spend the least time for the best work.

My ideas about the future of blogging

Acutally the blogging has becoming one of my interests.

I was addicted to blogging to write my novels and the photos I took.

And I took a lot of time on decorating my blog to make it prettier and more professional.

I put the pretty background pictures and the musics I found great. And I also unloaded them very often.

It seems that I had a lot of time to do the blogging thing.But I do not want to deny , but in my life blog can be my diary , the friendship source and also a place to develop my interests. I can put the interesting things in my blog. But now it seems facebook and xiaonei has already took some parts of my attention from blgging work.

Because I could put more pictures to facebook to let more people to see, what is more important, many of my friends prefer to put their photos on the facebook, and they love playing facebook games while they chat on the facebook. As more friends I got , I do not have much time to read every friends’ posts . But you can still write your blogs on the facebook.

But it seems that we get lost in the facebook —the life of communities where you can share your information and your interests or blog—your own place where you can show your own style.

In my opion , the future blog should be combined with the internet forum or community such as face book. As it is getting powerful , the blogging should focus on the personal and special things of bloggers.

the second , the blog should make the bloggers could make friends between each other, they can check their friends’ updates and new posts. And also they can make their own interest communities.

like drama group , photography and so on.

this idea is that i read through the different types of blogs .

Also I think also the blogs can have events reminder for the same city or uni communities so that people can get involved in more places.

Also the bloggers can sell second-hand products to deal with the DVDs ,CDs or books those they do not need any more. And it can save source. And which also makes the blogging lives could be more colourful.

Another idea is that maybe we can use blogging as our online cinema , TV station , or news websites. So we can combined with different types of media , I got this idea from the project I was doing, the topic is talking about the new media. Actually as the Internet is getting popular, that every types media can be used or spread on the Internet. but the thing is that the quality of the media products on the internet.So maybe we can make the blogging activities more meaningful such as some donation for poor or African ,volunteer for environment.

And also the bloggers can make their blogs closer to their daily life, so that make them can not live without their blogs, such as our network teachers–Sean and Seth, they post important information on their blogs and link to each other, which made us have to check the updates of both of their blogs. So we can use blogs as education source. Maybe we can also make records of our bills , or as a planner.

So sometimes we are tired to express ourselves , but we need to live, someday , we will become the ones cannot live without blogging. Just cannot.

Participation Week 1

In this week , we did our first participation exercise , and we were required to come up with several ideas about the activities which are relevant for our blogs.

After the discussion , we came up with the ideas as blow:

1. Try to attend all the lectures and tutorials: it is important for everyone to keep up with what we need to learn.

2. Finish the weekly tasks on time and write 3~5 blogs per week o. The laziness is the biggest enemy for us to improve ourselves.

3. Have your feedback about the lectures and tutorial : to show how we understand our course.

4. Pay attention to other blogs , learn the good things from them and leave our opinions and suggestions.

5. Read the dossier and write our comments on the blog.

6. Critical thinking about our work (e.g. blogs, other projects) ,and seeking the feedbacks from others in order to improve our works.

7. Do more researches out side of the class and pay attention to the current news about network media.

8. Make our blogs more interesting , e.g put more images and videos into our blogs.

9. Use html and other methods to improve our blog and improve our network media making skills.

10.Enjoy what the course teaches us , and relate it to other course, making it wider and more useful.

What is “blog” ?

A blog is like a Web site, it is usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events( I like these kind of blogs, because it is fun and special), or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. “Blog” can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content(like videos,images,sounds,etc) to a blog.

I read through the wikipedia:Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketches (sketchblog), videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting), which are part of a wider network of social media. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging, one which consists of blogs with very short posts. “As of December 2007, blog search engine Technorati was tracking more than 112 million blogs”.[1] With the advent of video blogging, the word blog has taken on an even looser meaning — that of any bit of media wherein the subject expresses his opinion or simply talks about something.

In my opionion, I found blogs are quite important to communicate for people and community. Many stars are using their blogs to communicate with their fans. And also fan communities communicate with each other in their blogs or forums.

I am thinking about what is the difference between blog and forum. Blog is more personal which reflect an individual life, forum has multiple thinking and ideas. But blog can make people to get to the blogger much closer and the blog can be recognised as a personal space, which the author can own the privacy (like the keyword or the limits to read their blogs.)
