Reflection on week 10 ’s presentation

Today every group was asked to present their rough draft of their project. It was amazing to see all my classmates, they are trying hard to express their special ability and most of them are quite interesting , also i m happy to receive their feedback and suggestions which are really helpful.

Birdie’s group :

Their project has a flash developer to cooperate with, that is really cool! It gonna make their project more ‘professional’ and at a technical high level.

About their “MY PUB” map, it has external links to each other,  I think that is quite good, because its structure is clear and connected.  Besides that , they also ave rough collage in it.

The most exciting part is that their pub video, a kind of “pub” feeling it : stylistic music, and I quite like their lighting, like a sober person looking for something;  the shaking camera makes the scene more realistic.

But the challenge is the sound is not actually pub sound, sometimes cannot hear people talking.

Gabriel’s group:

They made three, videos about “fashion” and “art” , and they states “ Fashion is art”.

The  first video about the game , it is cool about the fast pacing, and can see they want to express some feeling in it.   So I prefer the second one —using the stop motion method to create video, it is about changing clothes brings different styles and changes a person.  This piece is really fun, it also got funky music during the fast pace editing. Consistence style.

The suggestion is :

• do not get on only one side, ,try different perspectives

• get people to get contribute

• ask people outside of the group to help with their temblor ( because temblor’s tag and category are really clean)

Our project:  Mimi TRIBE

Actually Mimi was a random name when I was trying to get a facebook accound name of “my tribe”, so Tiana said “Mimi tribe” .

But seems everyone in the class likes this name, and we also feel the same way, because Mimi can be “Me me “,  so “mimi tribe” can so can be “meme tribe” or “ me, my tribe !”  THAT IS CLEVER!

Mel suggested maybe we could design our project as Mimi’s diary , with different categories , but all about her life.   However others in the class think this idea is too far.    But I would like to use another suggestion but  changed it a little bit:

Motif : she is everyone —

Voice-over at the end  female voice: “ I m everyone’.

Male voice:” she is everything”

Lol , does it sound like an advertisement ?   Anyway, it does not matter, the thing is that you wont forget “Mimi Tribe”,  she is already in your head !

And David suggested that show the fashion photos straight away, rather than putting them up on the temblor.  Actually I was thinking about the same thing,  but it shows different perspectives of fashion, and it has multiple links . But we will have further discussion with David next Friday, It gonna be one of my questions.

Another group:

I believe they can do their work well at the end. But its presentation can be a warning to my project, Because it is a group assignment, so the cooperation and effort are both needed, So far, I am feeling happy about our project, because I got the direction; I am doing most and I m controlling.
