Overwhelmed?
The Machine Theatre is currently not operational. It is a growing structure, however, the product of numerous alterations and additions. It shall become something large and sprawling, a non-linear, hypertextual response to Lev Manovich's essay
Cinematic and Graphic: Cinegratography. The gears are not yet in place. What you currently see here is a shell without a skeleton; an aesthetic testing-ground devoid of meaningful content. But rest assured, this cybernetic environment will become rich and strange and churning, a place of conflict and exploration.
Currently, this page is being used as a central index to connect my multifarious ideas. For instance, there shall be a pathway to The Conduit, a wholly linear, one-way tunnel through cyberspace, a constrained highway of thought progression. This section of the site will contrast against the dense, non-linear, spatial-montage sections in order to demonstrate differences between them.
Note that The Machine Theatre shall ultimately be decentralised, taking greater advantage of this hypertextual environment of fragmented lexia (insert reference to first networked reading).
*I've left all this here, for the sake of honesty. This is merely a seed casing from which ideas have erupted... it's all part of the process. And this is fine, we are not here to find answers. The process itself is enough.
