Fast & Furious

Yup..That’s Right..I’ve watched Fast & Furious starring: Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, John Ortiz, Liza LaPira, Directed by: this Saturday…well..if you like cars..it will be a MUST watch movie, because it’s cool!

In the movie(Well not only this movie, but many other action movie), they’ve uses a very fast way to shot the cars, (or is that a short cut)? The camera goes real fast in the action part, jumping, driving, etc. I think only a very skilled camera man would be able to do so?

A big movie like this..really need a huge lot of money..

Lenny-2

Lenny 2-Shooting

For Lenny 2 we have to shoot by ourself! (That’s intresting…but hard for now..when i don really knw anything about the video cam)

before starting the shooting of Lenny 2…we need to plan..That’s the Pre-production.

*Short introduction…*

There’s 3 steps for very production, which is Pre-production -> Production -> Post production

Pre-production is when we plan and schedule everything.

Production is when we do our recording/filiming.

Post production is when we do our editings and when we add on sound tracks.

In Week6’s tutorial, we covered things about pre-production.

We need to prepare a few things before we can start shooting this coming friday.

1. Shooting List- A list of what shoot goes 1st

2. Shooting Schedule-The timing of which shoot to take 1st

3. StoryBoard (Which what im doing)

4. FloorPlan- A floorplan of the location.

Week6’s Tutorial

(A pic during class..LENNY)

This week’s tutorial it’s all about….camera and audio again!..As a DOP…well…it’s intresting in some way..and it’s confusing in another way..

1st..Setting up the camera..

week 6’s tutorial is my 2nd time setting up the camera, and….me n Jo set the camera at the wrong direction, because the Tri-pod is also facing the wrong side. then…i take more than 5second to figure out where is the on and off button again..(tat’s funny) but at least at the end of the class, it took me 1 second turn off the camera..because i knw where is the on and off button is (Yes..Finally).

Next..Will be connecting the audio mixer to the video camera.

Well this process ain’t that hard though..when the cable connected in the left channel of the video, the other end will have to connect to the left channel of the mixer. For the other cable, which also be the same, the cable that connected into the right channel of the video, the other end of the cable will then have to connect to the right channel of the mixer.

After Setting up both of those things, we then have to set the…White balance (which i finally knw how to..). The white balance…We have to Zoom in to the white paper (the white paper will be located at the position where we tend to shot). Then we click the white balance button that is located underneed the camera lens. We click it until we get the number of the white balance.

The Correct Colour Tempreture:

Tungsten: 3200K (Yellow)

Fluro: 4000K(Green)

Early Morning/Late afternoon: 4600K

Summer Sunlight: 5400K-5800K (Blue)

Overcast Sky- 6000K

Setting a correct colour tempreture is very important..because if you do not set the white balance, the colour of the images/clips will be…Screwed Up…-_-”" EG: if you use 4100k for shoting a bright sunny day outdoor, you images will be redish or purple-ish (According to Paul). : )

PS: We have to set the white balance whenever we moves the camera!!
