End of semester..wat have i learned?

thru network media,

i’ve learn more about creating a website, i’ve learned more about the concept of html, and the time that i’ve used had increased.

Thru broadcasting..

i’ve learn the process of making a video and radio. i’ve learn more of the way to record a video and using the equipments.

Meaning and Media

i’ve learn and understand more on the audience and the media.

this video was made by photos, which is one of the thing that i wanted to learn.

Our technology is getting more advance, all kind of thing are invented just for convenient for the society.

like the product above they bring more convenient to the society.

To design a nice website it’s not easy, by using HTML there’s alot of code that have to be used and to learn there’s also several website with codes for example W3schools, HTML Code Tutorial, Quick Kit.com and more..

There’s different kind of website, websites for a business or company their layouts will be different from the websites that’s for entertainment or design base.

for example Aardman Animations, it is a site which is about animation, it is much more interesting compare to the others. For business websites, like Iris, a malaysia technology company will have different layouts, which is more serious.

The layout of a website will be able to show the character of the company and more~therefore the layouts are rather important, that’s the first impression for everyone.

After consulting Sean, im thinking of using images in order to bring up the concept of spatial montage from Manovich.

What is spatial montage?

Spatial montage is when the creator able to show and construct a relationship between each frame. The multiple streams of images that appear on the single screen have to share the slice of time and appear on the screen at the same time.

-spatial montage – the use of two images at once, positioned side by side, construct logic that determines which images appear together, when they appear, and what kind of relationships they enter into with one other.
-spatial narrative did not disappear completely in the twentieth century, but rather, like animation, came to be delegated to a minor form of western culture—comics

To use images to show the example of spatial mongate, i’ve then created an image

the image above it show’s the concept of spatial montage by Lev Manovich, which is using different images and showing it on the same screne at the same time, it’s not just an image, but an images with different angles and position will let the viewer see more and feel more.

What have i done well?

I think the things that i done well in working on HTML, and i did lot’s of practice for HTML and i think i did try to explore new things, like looking at the tutorials provided. i also did try my best to post up blogs as often as i could.

What i learnt to do better?

In this semester i learnt quite a lot about HTML, not only from the class, but also i did use my time to look at the tutorials to learn more.

What could i have done better?

I think i should spend more time on research to increase my blog post and also i should read the dossier more often. Other than that, i think i should have interact more with my classmate, because interacting with the classmates will improve myself.

an icons and button is one of the main thing of a website, therefore i’ve created some icons too~

Annotation

Youtube had created something new recently, which is adding annotation after you upload your own video, it is interesting and easy to use.

Video Annotations are a new way for you to add interactive commentary to your videos! Use them to:

• Add background information about the video
• Create stories with multiple possibilities (viewers click to choose the next scene)
• Link to related YouTube videos, channels, or search results from within a video
• All of the above

Black

I think for this web the font colour of the content does not really suits, red background colour with blue font colour makes me hard to read the content. The site is lack of visual elements.

Yellow

i reckon the layout of this website is good, it is well organized and easy going. Every links link to each other fluently, which is good, and i know where am i and what i’m reading at.

Green

I think changing the font colour of the content to white colour might be much more suitable, because red and blue kinda contrast each other, and may be adding more visual elements, like the plans, graph and more..this will make the site look more attractive and interesting.
