In a Christian country like Australia, Church is a kind of important community, but some churches in Australia are even special, because this is a lovely multi-cultural society, and they are multi-cultural churches. Christianism is the widest religion in the world, it is very common for eastern people to believe in God. Also when eastern Christians immigrate to Australia, we will look for a church suit for us. Heidelberg Presbyterian Church is such a church. It is an open church, welcome people from all different culture background, it respect people's different custom, helps new immigrations if they have any difficulties. Also the members appreciate this church and contribute a lot, they bring new members to this community and make it becoming bigger and bigger. Let's listen to Alan's speech to understand more about a "international church".

10 October, 2005 Monday Sunny Today is the third day I arrived in Melbourne. Ms Zhang, my homestay host suggest me to visit a church near the house I live. It is not far, just in a walking distance. It is really different from the church in China, the building is so small, with beautiful gardens, even it has a kids' playground. Although it is Tuesday today, there are a lot of people in the church. (In China, churches are empty on weekdays.) An gentleman, Alan, welcome me to come to his free English. On his class, he corrected some of my English pronunciation. It is really helpful. And we had a Bible class later as well. There are also some Chinese friend at the small class, they are Paul, Luke and Luke's Mother, an old Chinese lady. After the class we enjoy morning tea and some cookies.
