This is our home! We belong to the community of a shared house. The excessively populated small space one? We're just re-creating India! Not intentionally though. It's just a bunch of people who love one other living together. (Not always of course, no one's perfect, we fight too!)
And of course anyone we know who's coming from India lands up here first! Some times we think we should put up a 'no vacancy' sign, but what the heck, we're empathetic, altruistic people. We run the risk of being taken for a ride, but we let people stay till they get a place. It's all good Karma!
We're 9 of us at the moment, and our house is a 2 bedroom, 1 kitchen, 1 toilet, 1 bathroom, 1 gallery. Oh, and 1 parking space (where someone could have slept if ther was no car). But WOW! How do we manage? We'll explore that in the Problems & Processes and Community Spirit, but we're one big happy group, who have a slumber party every night!
I'm Suhasini, referred to in the community as 'Su-di' with love :). I'll introduce you to the members of the community and what we do in the house and outside, beginning with Mona.
