Can I bring my desk top radio / stereo?
No – SAB spaces are more open plan than 108 – issue of noise. Open plan offices are great for productivity and teamwork but require staff to find new ways of working which consider their colleagues needs and rights. Radios are disruptive and will not be permitted in any open plan areas. Sound tends to travel, so they’re not ideal in offices either. If you like to work with music, then consider a device with ear phones.
Be mindful when using your mobile phone
Mobile phones can create noise polluiton in open plan workspaces, therefore users should consider their colleagues and keep their phone on silent.when necessay, calls should be taken in a vacant meeting room, or in another area outside the workspace where possible

There is no nurses station or sick bay in SAB.
- a sick bay brings certain responsibilities around supervision of the sick person: it means we are the carer of a sick person in the bay and take on the responsibility and duty of care for that person. If someone is extremely ill then we need to consider whether it’s an emergency situation and call an ambulance. (more…)
