Two lectures from US Artificial Intelligence expert Ken Stanley had Computer Science students, academics and ICT industry representatives flocking to RMIT University recently.
Full houses attended both lectures, which were jointly sponsored by Australia’s ICT Research Centre of Excellence, NICTA, and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the world ’s largest educational and scientific computing society, through their Distinguished Speaker Program (DSP).
“I’m grateful to the ACM Distinguished Speakers Program and NICTA for
making my visit and two talks at RMIT possible,” said Associate Professor Stanley, who is based at the University of Central Florida, USA.
“I especially want to acknowledge Fabio Zambetta and Xiaodong Li of RMIT for all the effort they put into my visit,” he said. “Thanks to Fabio and Xiaodong I had the opportunity to meet and discuss research with many excellent students and researchers at RMIT.” Read more.
